News About A New Store, Some New Shots & All Things Made in SF, Coming Soon!

IMG_0156Last month I had the honor of hosting a “Pop-Up” Shop at the Makeshift Society, here in San Francisco. In case you are unfamiliar, Makeshift is a wonderful “club house for creatives”, located in Hayes Valley.  A very unique place which prides itself on encouraging people from a variety of artistic disciplines to get out of their private offices, studios and workspaces to collaborate their ideas, designs, knowledge and products among like minded folks with differing opinions, artistic backgrounds and areas of expertise.

Makeshift Society is an organization that fosters creativity, collaboration and community through a co-working space/clubhouse, innovative programming, and support for freelancers and small business owners. We want to enable everyone to make, learn, teach and think.”

You can check them out here and I highly recommend becoming a member in either the SF branch or the newly funded (thanks to Kickstarter!) soon to be branch in Brooklyn. Even at the supporting level, you won’t be disappointed with all that they have to offer!

One of the most exciting things that came out of the month, besides showing my work, was winning a raffle prize at the Makeshift 1 year anniversary party, which sadly, I was unable to attend. My prize was a photo shoot with the lovely Liz Daly, a local, professional photographer with an incredible eye, precise attention to detail and a wonderful personality. I will be working on a new website very soon and look forward to sharing many more of her stellar images with you. Thank you Liz!

Now on to the news…Perch, one of my favorite local shops is now carrying a selection of my work. They are located in the adorable neighborhood of Glen Park, just down the hill from my studio, and carry many local and international artists and designers. The owners are great people who really take the time to curate they goods they carry and I look forward to this being the start of a wonderful new relationship. In addition to Perch, you can still find my work at Rare Device where Giselle has her own carefully curated collection of jewelry, home goods and so much more!

Mark your calendars! On the horizon for the first Saturday in December (12/7),  is the SF Made Holiday Gift Fair, where I will be showing my work alongside the great San Francisco clothing manufacturer, Cut Loose. This not to be missed holiday market showcases food, wine, home goods, gifts, jewelry and clothing that is made locally and I can’t wait to introduce some of my new designs!

Hope to see all of you there!
